Why You Need Electrolytes!

Research has provided evidence on the importance of ionic minerals* for normal body function. They play key roles in all aspects of growth, metabolism and reproduction. Undesirable farming techniques and poor soil conditions have depleted the mineral content in our current food supply. In order to maintain optimal, balanced biochemistry, it is essential that we consume adequate amounts of trace minerals. However, the proper amounts of these minerals are difficult to obtain from diet alone.

E-lyte Liquid Minerals provide nine of the most important trace and ultra-trace minerals taken as dietary supplements. These essential minerals are available in convenient, highly absorbable, easy-to-use form that can be tested individually by sipping a small amount of each one. ** You can then adjust your dose to be in tune with your body reaction to each mineral. We change for many reasons and testing permits you to follow those changes and adjust according.

1. Potassium is essential for regulating blood pressure, pH and cellular growth.

2. Zinc is essential for growth and development, immune function and is an important component of antioxidant enzyme systems in the body that help prevent heart disease and cancer.

3. Magnesium is essential for the production of ATP (body's main energy source), muscle relaxation, and nerve signal transmission.

4. Copper is essential for the transport of iron in the body, collagen stability, neurotransmitter production, melanin production and is a component of antioxidant enzyme systems.

5. Chromium is essential component of Glucose Tolerance Factor which helps potentiate insulin function.

6. Manganese is essential for the formation of connective tissue and bone growth, reproduction, and carbohydrate and lipid metabolism.

7. Molybdenum is essential for detoxification and the production of uric acid, the metabolism of sulfur containing amino acids and conversion of sulfite to sulfate.

Ultra-Trace Minerals:

8. Selenium is an essential component of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase and is essential for the production of thyroid hormones.

9. Iodine is an essential component of thyroid hormone in regulating metabolism.

Guide to Testing the Seven Liquid Minerals

Vital for Your Supplement Program

Do not test yourself with the concentrated minerals from the drip bottles…they should first be diluted.

Taste buds on the tongue and surrounding tissues of the mouth are basically ion probes that have the exquisite ability to discern minute concentrations of minerals. Your Health Care Provider can test your reaction to each mineral to give you an indication of need. Simply taste each one, one at a time.

If the mineral has no taste (like plain water), or is pleasant, or tastes good, you can use this mineral in your daily drink. If it tastes metallic or has a strong lingering taste, leave that one out. Your body is saying, "I don't want this right now; maybe next time." Repeat this process for each one of the remaining minerals. Test yourself on a regular basis.

The "Taste Test" is a simple, but elegant way of determining what your body would like at that moment. Over time, with many taste checks, you can get a glimpse of how your body's response is engrained in your genetic makeup. With some minerals you may find minimal need, while others you never seem to get enough.

How we respond to dietary essentials (minerals, vitamins and fatty acids) are essential what makes us different, unique, one-of-a-kind. The message here is that your body knows best. You just have to learn how to tap that store of knowledge. This test is not only a good way to determine the minerals you need, but also an excellent lesson in how you should regard any supplement or food from now on.

§ Take the mineral drink with a meal, or as a mid-morning/mid-afternoon energy boost.

§ If you prefer, you can double the number of drops if you want a real boost (for adults only, children only after instructed by your Provider); however you are in charge. Use your taste to determine how much to take, or even if you want any of the minerals at that time. It is quite rare to find someone who is totally balanced with all the minerals they need, but it is certainly possible. Again use only the minerals that pass your personal taste test.

Making Your Liquid Mineral Drink

1. Potassium Phosphate 13 drops
2. Zinc Sulfate 7 drops
3. Magnesium Chloride 10 drops
4. Copper Sulfate 4 drops
5. Potassium Chromate 5 drops
6. Potassium Permanganate 7 drops
7. Ammonium Molybdate 3 drops

Combine the minerals into an eight-ounce glass using the number of drops listed. Add your favorite fresh juice (grapefruit, orange, pineapple, etc.) If you like, you may also add a small amount (1/4 tsp.) of vitamin C (ascorbic acid), but not buffered C (ascorbate). The resulting drink should taste like normal juice with no aftertaste. If not, see your Health Care Provider for a taste test to determine which of the minerals seems to be unacceptable at this time.

Convenient Taste Testing Kits are available.

This is all that is necessary to make a self-regulating multi-trace mineral drink. Balancing one's chemistry can be very rewarding and should be a goal for each of us. The subtle increase in energy and well-being is well worth the effort.
