The Menopause Type® Questionnaire

You can use the Menopause Type® Questionnaire to determine your menopause type® based on symptoms of menopause. It's important to note that this questionnaire only evaluates symptoms. Symptoms say a lot about your quality of life, but do not give enough information to determine what your risks are for developing osteoporosis, heart disease or other diseases associated with menopause. You will also need lab tests and other tests, such a bone density, to determine you risks for disease.

However, understanding these symptoms can guide you and your physician in making lifestyle, nutritional and herbal choices that are right for you. Paying attention to these symptoms can enhance your quality of life.

 

About the Questionnaire.

Within the questionnaire there are 50 numbered questions. Within each numbered question there may be one or more questions.

For example, a few questions contain a single query: "Are your hands or feet colder?"

 

Many questions contain more than one query: "Are you more irritable? Do you have more nervous tension?"

 

You should answer yes if you experience any part of the question. After you and your healthcare professional analyze the questionnaire, your will know your menopause type®  based on symptoms.

 

This Questionnaire is designed to help you collect and analyze information about your symptoms.

 

The 50 numbered questions are divided into 8 different sections, designated Section A through G. Each of these sections asks about symptoms associated with one or more hormone imbalance.

 

Estrogen deficiency symptoms, progesterone deficiency symptoms, testosterone deficiency symptoms and androgen excess symptoms are mixed throughout different sections of the questionnaire.

Sections are analyzed to determine Menopause Type® based on the percentage of symptoms that you have.

 

What this means to you

The Menopause Type® Questionnaire can be used to determine your menopause type®, and reveal a lot about how symptoms are affecting your quality of your life.

But remember, symptoms do not give enough information to determine what your risks are for developing osteoporosis, heart disease or other diseases associated with menopause.

Still, properly interpreting the questionnaire these symptoms will guide you and your physician in making lifestyle, nutritional and herbal choices that are right for you.
